WSU AP, IB, CLEP, Running Start, & Cambridge Credits

AP credit

WSU awards credit for scores of 3 or higher on College Board Advanced Placement (AP) exams. For the 2019-20 administration of College Board AP Exams, WSU will honor AP scores from any format of the exam offered and approved by College Board and we will honor the credits as listed on the WSU online AP chart. We will treat these exams and credits the same as we would in a normal AP administration. Please contact the Office of Admissions at admissions@wsu.edu if you have any questions.

See a list of AP exam credits awarded by WSU.

IB credit

WSU awards credit for qualifying scores on IB exams. Please see the list of IB exam credits awarded by WSU.

CLEP credit

WSU awards credit for qualifying scores on CLEP exams. See the CLEP table for exams accepted, scores needed, and credit awarded.

Cambridge credit

WSU awards credit for each Cambridge A-level exam. See a list of Cambridge exam credits awarded by WSU.

Running Start

If you have completed Running Start classes, or any other college-level coursework while in high school, you should apply as a freshman to WSU. You will receive applicable college credit once we receive an official college transcript. Use this helpful guide to see how your college credits match up with WSU equivalencies.
