FutureCoug Portal

Your FutureCoug Portal is your applicant portal, where you can view your admissions status.

Your Future Coug Portal will allow you to:

  • Confirm your enrollment
  • Upload missing admissions documents
  • Request a change to your academic program
  • Request a change to your academic term
  • Request a change of campus
  • View the status of your admission
  • View if your financial aid application has been received
  • View if your scholarship application has been received
  • View if you’ve received admissions awards
  • Find your personal admissions counselor

myWSU

myWSU is where you can view your financial aid offer and complete other tasks such as authorizing third party users.

HOW TO LOG IN TO MYWSU FOR THE FIRST TIME:

  1. Follow the steps in the account creation email that was sent to the email address you used on your admission application.
  2. Keep a record of your Network ID and password, as you will continue to use this throughout your time at WSU.

If you have any questions during the Network ID/Okta account creation process, or if you cannot find the account creation email, please contact the WSU Crimson Service Desk, Monday-Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (PST) at 509-335-4357 or helpdesk@wsu.edu.

HOW TO GRANT THIRD PARTY ACCESS SO OTHERS (PARENTS/SPOUSES) CAN VIEW INFORMATION:

  1. The WSU student or applicant will need to log in to their myWSU account.
  2. From the homepage, select the Profile tile then click ‘Third Party Access.’
  3. Select the Share My Information link and complete the online form to give access.

ADMISSION PROCESS

HOW TO CHECK WHAT IS NEEDED TO COMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION:

  1. Log in to your FutureCoug Portal.
  2. Scroll down to your Application Checklist.
  3. View the required and optional incomplete items.
  4. Upload missing materials. 

HOW TO UPDATE YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION (EMAIL, MAILING ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER, ETC.):

  1. Log in to your myWSU account.
  2. From the homepage, select the Profile tile.
  3. Select the address type to be changed, or one of the other options available.

HOW TO SET UP YOUR WSU EMAIL ACCOUNT:

  1. Go to the website office365.wsu.edu.
  2. Login on the WSU Sign In Page with your Network ID and Password (same as myWSU Login)
  3. On the Office 365 Landing Page, click the ‘Mail’ Icon
  4. The first time you access this, it will ask you to set your time zone
  5. This will then take you to your Inbox for your Office 365 email account
  6. Your email address will be your networkid@wsu.edu

HOW TO FIND YOUR WSU STUDENT ID NUMBER:

  1. Log in to your FutureCoug Portal.
  2. Your student ID number (9 digits) will be located in your Coug Student Information.

HOW TO READ/REVIEW THE TRANSFER EQUIVALENCY GUIDE:

  1. Visit myWSU homepage.
  2. Click the ‘Transfer Course Information’ link
  3. Select “Browse Transfer Course Information” if you know the WSU course you need to take.
  4. Select ‘Transfer Course Search’ if you know the transfer institution course and want to know the WSU equivalent.

HOW TO READ/REVIEW YOUR TRANSFER CREDIT REPORT:

  1. Log in to your myWSU account.
  2. From the applicant or student homepage, select the Academic Advising tile.
  3. Click the ‘View Transfer Credit Report’ link.

FINANCIAL AID & STUDENT ACCOUNT INFORMATION

HOW TO REVIEW WHAT IS MISSING FROM YOUR FINANCIAL AID FILE:

  1. Log in to your myWSU account.
  2. From the student homepage, click the Tasks tile.
  3. Any financial aid related tasks will be listed under your task list. Click on the items to see what further information is needed from you.

HOW TO VIEW AND ACCEPT/DECLINE YOUR FINANCIAL AID AWARD:

  1. Log in to your myWSU account.
  2. From the student homepage, click the Financial Aid tile.
  3. Awards for the year will automatically show in ‘Award Summary’. If you need to change the academic year you are looking at, you can do so by selecting the year in the left corner. You can use the ‘Print Award’ link to print a copy of your financial aid award letter.
  4. Click ‘Accept/Decline.’
  5. Click the ‘Edit’ button (looks like a little pencil)

How to view itemized list of charges and payments:

  1. Log in to your myWSU account.
  2. From the student homepage, select the Financial Account tile.
  3. Select Account Inquiry from the menu on the left.
  4. Click ‘account activity’.
  5. You should see all charges and payments that have been made here.
  6. Select ‘summary’ or ‘charges due’ tab to see all outstanding charges.
  7. Under the ‘payments’ tab you will see any past/current payments that have been made.

Setting up direct deposit, bank accounts, and student permissions:

  1. Log in to your myWSU account.
  2. From the student homepage, click the Financial Account tile.
  3.  Under Account Services, select ‘Enroll in Direct Deposit’.
  4. Account Services has tabs that show direct deposit, student permission, and bank accounts.
  5. Select the ‘direct deposit’ tab to add or modify a bank account for direct deposit.
  6. Select the ‘student permission’ tab to grant permission for financial aid.
  7. Select the ‘bank accounts’ tab to see what bank accounts are associated with your student account.

OTHER NEXT STEPS

HOW TO RESERVE YOUR TEXTBOOKS:

  1. Log in to your myWSU account.
  2. From the student homepage, select the Manage Classes tile.
  3. Click the Bookie logo located in the top middle of the page.
  4. Choose ‘please send’ and click the submit button to load your books automatically based on your schedule or select the option to manually add your books.

HOW TO VIEW YOUR CLASS SCHEDULE:

  1. Log in to your myWSU account.
  2. From the student homepage, select the Manage Classes tile.
  3. This will open to your weekly schedule calendar.

HOW TO PURCHASE A WSU ATHLETICS STUDENT SPORTS PASS:

  1. Log in to your myWSU student account.
  2. Select the ‘Homepage’ tab.
  3. Click the ‘Main Menu’ square in the bottom left of your homepage.
  4. Select ‘Main Menu’ > ‘Self Service’ > ‘WSU Optional Services’.
  5. Under ‘Optional Services’ select ‘Term’.
  6. Select to purchase your Sports Pass and click ‘Submit’.

HOW TO ADD (REGISTER FOR) CLASSES:

  1. Log in to your myWSU account.
  2. From the student homepage, select the Manage Classes tile.
  3. Select ‘Class Search and Enroll’ from the left menu.
  4. Use the search bar to search by class number or select class search.
  5. Select subject and search.
  6. Once you’ve identified the class you wish to enroll in, click the green button that says ‘select class’.
  7. The class is now in your shopping cart. To check out, complete the next two steps by clicking complete step 2 of 3 and then pressing confirm to finish adding the class.
  8. Your class should now be added but double check that the class is added in your student center in your student schedule.

HOW TO DROP (REMOVE) CLASSES:

  1. Log in to your myWSU account.
  2. From the student homepage, select the Manage Classes tile.
  3. Select ‘Drop Classes’ from the left menu.
  4. Select the class that you want to drop and choose the ‘Reason for Dropping’ in the drop down menu.
  5. Click the ‘Next’ button in the top right hand corner of the page.
  6. Click the red ‘Drop Classes’ button on the right.
