Application Process
First-Year Student
You’re a first-year student if you’re applying to WSU for the academic year immediately following high school or haven’t attended college since your high school graduation.
Post-Bachelor’s Student
You’re a post-bachelor’s degree student if you have already earned a bachelor’s degree from a school other than WSU.
Transfer Student
You’re a transfer student if you attended a college or university after graduating from high school, not including the summer immediately after graduation.
Returning Student
You’re a returning student if you previously enrolled at WSU as an undergraduate degree-seeking student at any WSU campus and have been away for more than one semester, excluding the summer semester.
International Student
You’re an international undergraduate if you are not a U.S. citizen or Green Card Holder, DACA Status Holder, Asylee, Refugee Status and you require a visa to study in the U.S. or are already present in the U.S. on a visa, such as F-1, J-1, H-1B, TN, among others.
Non-Degree
You’re a non-degree student if you don’t intend to complete a degree at WSU and are taking coursework for a certificate, personal enrichment, to transfer to another college, or for a teaching endorsement.
Graduate Student
You’re a graduate student if you’ve earned your undergraduate degree and want to pursue a Master’s or Doctorate degree.
