Academic Success & Career Center
WSU’s Academic Success and Career Center (ASCC) offers many resources to students, including: advising for students still deciding on a major, peer tutoring, academic success coaching as well as career counseling. The ASCC also oversees all student employment opportunities for students wishing to work while going to school. Attend this workshop if you want to learn more about ways to be successful as a student and how WSU will help prepare you to get a job after you graduate.
Alive! @ WSU: Orientation & Registration
Did you know orientation is mandatory for all students entering WSU? Find out more about WSU’s orientation programs and how they will help you be a successful student at WSU. You will also learn of the many benefits for parents to attend these programs.
The WSU Honors College offers a unique curriculum designed to compliment any academic major available at WSU Pullman. Your Honors classes are designed to encourage communication and engagement with peers, while developing your research, writing, and problem-solving skills both in and outside of the classroom. Join the Honors College staff for a presentation to learn more about all of the classes, resources, requirements, admission processes, internships, study abroad, research, and future job opportunities.
Living at WSU
All incoming freshman at WSU are required to live on campus for their first year. Learn more about the housing application process, getting a roommate, residential dining (RDA) money and how living on campus will help students form connections and build a stronger sense of community at WSU. Information about living in a Greek chapter house and age-restricted housing will also be shared during this workshop.
Student Financial Services
You are looking forward to beginning your journey at WSU. How are you going to pay for it? Learn more about financial aid, scholarships, loans and important dates and deadlines you must meet in order to ensure you get the most amount of aid possible delivered on time. Make sure to check out our new scholarship search tool that allows you to filter through scholarships with ease!
Transfer Credit & Resources
Meet with staff from the Transfer Clearinghouse and learn more about how your credits transfer to WSU and how you can utilize pre-advising services and tools to develop an efficient transfer pathway to your intended WSU major. We will also discuss the various resources for transfer students at WSU, including student clubs, an honor society, and a seminar course, plus living options for transfer students. This session is open to all students with transfer credit.
The Pre-Health Advantage at WSU: Health Professions Student Center
At WSU students who wish to pursue a professional degree pathway (Pre-Medicine, Pre-Dental, Pre-Physical Therpay, etc) are free to choose the academic major best suited to their interests and strengths. Come and learn more about the Health Professions Student Center that has staff dedicated to assisting students in a variety of ways to provide them with the best opportunity for entrance into a professional program.
