How to submit transcripts
High School Transcripts
Unofficial
If you are still attending high school, the WSU Office of Admissions can accept a copy of your high school transcript to determine admissibility. We will call this an unofficial transcript because it wasn’t sent to us directly from the school. There are two ways to send us this type of transcript:
- Uploaded with your application.
- Uploaded to our transcript uploader. You will need to log in with your myWSU username and password to access the uploader.
After graduation, you must submit an official transcript (sent directly from your school) or have it delivered to us in a sealed envelope.
Official
Contact your high school to request your high school transcript be sent to WSU. Your high school should submit your transcript to WSU only once using one of the methods below.
- Mail: The high school may mail it to us. You may mail it to us if it remains sealed; otherwise we will consider it unofficial and you will need to have an official transcript sent. Physical and mailing addresses for each campus can be found at the bottom of this page.
- Electronic via school: Your high school counselor may reach out to us at admissions@wsu.edu for instructions to access a secured upload portal. We do not accept transcripts via email.
- Electronic via vendor: You may request your transcript using a third-party vendor, such as Parchment, Naviance, National Student Clearinghouse, Scribbles, or eScrip-Safe. The third-party vendor may send it to admissions@wsu.edu. We only accept electronic transcripts from third-party vendors if the email sent to us includes a URL that can be copied and pasted (we cannot click links in emails). If we are not able to accept a transcript from this method, we will let you know.
- Fax: Your school’s registrar/counselor may fax your transcript with a cover sheet to WSU. The fax numbers for each campus can be found at the bottom of this page.
Regardless of how your transcripts are sent, please allow several days for us to update your student file. You will be notified by email when your transcript has been recorded.
College/University Transcripts
OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS ARE REQUIRED FROM ALL COLLEGES YOU HAVE ATTENDED
WSU only accepts official transcripts from colleges and universities.
This applies to both transfer applicants and first-year applicants with dual credit, Running Start, College in the High School, or other college credit earned while in high school. No transfer credit will be awarded from high school transcripts. Students with fewer than 27 transferable semester (40 quarter) credits earned after high school graduation must also provide an official high school transcript (or GED score report).
- Mail: The college/university may mail it to us. You may mail it to us if it remains sealed; otherwise we will consider it unofficial and you will need to have an official transcript sent. Physical and mailing addresses for each campus can be found at the bottom of this page.
Regardless of how your transcripts are sent, please allow several days for us to update your student file. You will be notified by email when your transcript has been recorded.
