Information for Veterans and Military

Welcome Veterans and Military Affiliated Future Cougs

WSU offers academic and financial support for military members and their families serving in the state of Washington and around the world. Whether you’re active duty, national guard, reserve, a veteran, or interested in entering the military while pursuing your education, WSU has programs to meet your needs.

WSU is proud and honored to have around 1,100 WSU Pullman students utilizing their post 9/11 G.I. Bill benefits to attend classes at WSU. Our veterans, active duty, guard/reserve, and military family members are an integral part of the Cougar community.

Cougars Veterans Pledge

Washington State University is dedicated to serving those who serve our nation. As part of this commitment, WSU pledges to honor the service of Washington high school seniors enlisting in the military by offering pre-approved undergraduate admission, deferred until they’re ready to attend college.

Active Duty While Attending WSU

If you’re currently on active duty or plan to enter the military while pursuing your education, we can help. Active-duty members of the military who are stationed in Washington can attend WSU at in-state tuition rates.
