Future Cougars of Color
Who is eligible for this scholarship program?
The Future Cougars of Color (FCOC) program is for Washington state residents of any and all colors.
To be eligible for participation, students need to meet these criteria:
- Complete the WSU admission and scholarship applications by January 31. Both freshmen and transfer students can qualify for FCOC.
- Be offered in-state (Washington resident) admission to WSU Pullman for fall semester.
All students who meet the above criteria will be eligible to register for the event.
Registration and event attendance
Students will need to sign up to attend the event.
Space at the Future Cougars of Color event is limited. Though we do our best to provide for everyone who wishes to attend, being eligible does not guarantee a spot at the event.
You must attend the entire event to receive a Future Cougars of Color scholarship. However, if you can’t attend, you are still eligible for many other scholarships from Washington State University.

Questions?
Please contact the Visitation team at 509-335-4980 or visitation@wsu.edu.
Submit the FAFSA when you apply for scholarships.
We encourage all students to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
While it's not required for the FCOC program, completing the FAFSA will ensure that you are considered not only for the full range of WSU scholarships, but also for other types of state and federal financial aid (grants, loans, work-study, etc.).
