Undergraduate Admission

Cougar Academic Scholarship

Cougar Academic Award (CAA)

This award offers two levels of scholarships for top students from throughout the United States: $4,000 or $9,000.

At the higher level, the CAA serves as our Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) award. Since they are one and the same at WSU, students cannot receive both a Cougar Academic Award and a WUE award.

Both levels are renewable for three additional years.**

Check your eligibility

Students must be residents of the United States outside the state of Washington and be admitted to the WSU Pullman campus as first-time freshmen. The award level is based on a combination of your unweighted grade point average (GPA) and your SAT or ACT test scores.  All application materials must be submitted by August 1, 2012 for award consideration.

Whether you are eligible for this particular award or not, be sure to also fill out the scholarship application when you apply for admission. It gives you the opportunity to be considered for more than 700 other scholarship programs.
