So you want to be a Coug...congrats! That's the first step. Now, welcome to the application process.

Since our admission application fees are nonrefundable, it's a good idea to contact us before you apply if you're unsure about which semester or application form to use. We prefer online applications, but if you need to mail an application, PDFs are available for downloading and printing.

Apply for Scholarships

WSU has one general scholarship application for all students. Isn't that handy? It allows you to be considered for a wide range of scholarships based on varying combinations of academic merit and financial need.

To be eligible for scholarships from WSU, new students also need to apply for admission. So, that makes two applications (scholarships and admission), if you're counting. Continuing students should file a scholarship application each year.

Oh no, more "paperwork"! T'is true, certain scholarships require materials in addition to the standard WSU scholarship application. Find instructions and materials here:

Freshman

Use this application if you anticipate graduating from high school this academic year or if you have graduated from high school and have not been enrolled in college after the summer following your high school graduation. Running Start students or students who have completed college coursework while in high school are considered freshmen for admission purposes.

Graduate and professional admission

If you're aiming for a graduate degree (master's, Ph.D.), apply for admission through the WSU Graduate School. For admission to the advanced professional degree programs in pharmacy, nursing, or veterinary medicine, apply directly to the program you want to join.
