Apply for Scholarships

Our general scholarship application allows you to be considered for a wide range of scholarships based on varying combinations of academic merit and financial need.

To be eligible for scholarships from WSU, new students also need to apply for admission. Continuing students should file a scholarship application each year.

The scholarship application deadline is January 31.

The scholarship application includes essay questions that give you a chance to show your ability to write clearly and tell us how your personal experiences and perspective can contribute to the academic community at WSU.

Certain scholarships require materials in addition to the standard WSU scholarship application. Find instructions and materials here:

Use this application if you anticipate graduating from high school this academic year or if you have graduated from high school and have not been enrolled in college after the summer following your high school graduation. Running Start students or students who have completed college coursework while in high school are considered freshmen for admission purposes.
