Sample Schedule


5:30-11:00 a.m.

  • Travel to Pullman. For a list of bus pick-up locations and pick-up times, please see the Travel Page.

11:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

  • Check-in and Lunch 

2:15–3:15 p.m.

  • Team Building Activities

3:30-4:30 p.m.

  • Academic visits. Experience the unique academic environment at WSU. One of our student tour guides will escort you to an academic visit for a firsthand look at one of your areas of interest.

4:30-6:00 p.m.

  • Tour campus and visit residence halls. Find out more about the campus community with current students as your guides.

6:00–7:00 p.m.

  • Dinner Reception at the CUB Senior Ballroom

7:30–8:15 p.m.

  • Check-in to hotels.

8:30–10:15 p.m.

  • Student Recreation Center. Work out to Zumba, play basketball or volleyball, swim in the pool, or just relax in the hot tub or by the big-screen TV.
  • Other sponsored activities.

11:00 p.m.

  • Lights Out



7:00–8:00 a.m.

  • Check-out and breakfast at hotels.

8:30 a.m.

  • Buses arrive on campus

9:00-9:45 a.m.

  • Student Panel Sessions.  Choose a student panel session to attend based on the following options:

    • What it’s like to be an African American Student at WSU
    • What it’s like to be a Chicano/Latino Student at WSU
    • What it’s like to be a Native student at WSU
    • What it’s like to be an Asian American/Pacific Islander Student at WSU
    • What it’s like to be a Bi-Racial/Multi-Racial Student at WSU

 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

  • Student Life Sessions: You’ll have the opportunity to choose from various multicultural workshops.

12:00–1:00 p.m.

  • Closing luncheon and program.

1:30-2:00 p.m.

  • Group photos.

2:00–2:15 p.m.

  • Buses depart.

  • Experience WSU A series of fall and spring semester events for admitted students. Experience what it’s like to live and learn at WSU.
  • Fall Preview Oct. 14 & 28 This full day of University life introduces you to our excellent academics and includes a residence hall tour, a chance to talk with current students, and more.
  • Game Day Tours Coming to a home football game? Add a tour to your day and see what academics and athletics is all about at WSU.
  • Future Cougars of Distinction An exclusive and invitation-only program for freshmen that provides top scholars an opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes overview of WSU.
  • Future Cougars Embracing Diversity An opportunity for underrepresented students to see first-hand all that WSU has to offer.
  • Out-of-State Experience A spring semester event for admitted non-resident students.

  • Walking Tours Prospective Students, sign up for a walking campus tour.
  • Group Tours Teachers, Counselors, and Professionals, plan a visit for your class or student group.

  • Freshman Use this application if you anticipate graduating from high school this academic year.
  • Transfer Use this application if you have attended college since graduating from high school.
  • Scholarships Make sure to apply for scholarships along with your admission application.
  • International Use this application if you are not a citizen or permanent resident of the United States of America.
  • Returning Student If you previously enrolled at any WSU campus, and have been away for more than one semester, use this application to reapply for admission.
  • Non-Degree Use this application if you don’t intend to complete a degree at WSU and will be taking courses for personal enrichment, transfer to another college, or a teaching endorsement.
  • Post-Degree Use the post-bachelor’s application if you’ve already earned a bachelor’s degree and want to add an additional degree or certificate.
  • Online Use this application if you want to earn a WSU degree online.  See the list of degrees offered online.
