What’s happening and when

Get ready to walk, talk, and generally be amazed. We have two tracks: freshman and transfer, to make sure you have the visit you need! Scroll down to see the complete transfer student track.

Prospective Freshman Track

Morning activities

8:00–9:20 a.m.

  • Check in, Compton Union Building
  • Visit the Academic Fair. Talk with faculty and staff from different colleges to learn more about our world-class academic programs. Staff will also be on hand with information about the numerous student services and resources available across campus.

9:30–9:45 a.m.

  • Welcome address

Academic visits

10:00–11:00 a.m.

  • Experience the unique academic environment at WSU. One of our student tour guides will escort you to an academic visit for a firsthand look at one of your areas of interest.

11:15–12:15 p.m.

  • Future student workshop. Ask questions, get answers, and learn firsthand about the Cougar experience from current WSU students!
  • Transfer workshop. Get important questions answered about transferring to WSU by an Admissions Counselor.
  • Parent panel discussion. An opportunity for parents to ask their own questions of current students, staff, and administrators at this interactive session.

Lunch

12:30–1:30 p.m.

  • Choose from a wide array of meal options at one of three dining centers.

Afternoon activities

1:30–2:45 p.m.

  • Tour campus and visit residence halls. Find out more about the campus community with current students as your guides.

End of program

3:00–3:45 p.m.

  • Honors College information session (optional) , Honors Hall Lounge. Meet with faculty and current students and find out what a WSU Honors education can offer you.

If you need special assistance during the event, please contact Visitation Programs  at least two weeks in advance so that reasonable accommodations can be arranged.

11:15–12:15 p.m.

  • Transfer workshop. Get important questions answered about transferring to WSU by an Admissions Counselor. We’ll show you all the tools you’ll need to not only see how your existing credit transfers to WSU, but we’ll also show you how to plan for future terms to make the most of your time.
  • Parent panel discussion. An opportunity for parents to ask their own questions of current students, staff, and administrators at this interactive session.

Lunch

12:30–1:30 p.m.

  • Enjoy a private lunch with your fellow prospective transfer students and current WSU students who were once potential transfer students just like you.

Afternoon activities

1:30–2:45 p.m.

  • Van Tour: See the Pullman community and off-campus living options. Find out more about the off-campus community with current students as your guides.

End of program

3:00–3:45 p.m.

  • Honors College information session (optional) , Honors Hall Lounge. Meet with faculty and current students and find out what a WSU Honors education can offer you.

  • Future Cougars of Distinction An exclusive and invitation-only program for freshmen that provides top scholars an opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes overview of WSU.
  • Future Cougars Embracing Diversity An opportunity for underrepresented students to see first-hand all that WSU has to offer.
  • Out-of-State Experience A spring semester event for admitted non-resident students.

  • Walking Tours Prospective Students, sign up for a walking campus tour.
  • Group Tours Teachers, Counselors, and Professionals, plan a visit for your class or student group.

  • Freshman Use this application if you anticipate graduating from high school this academic year.
  • Transfer Use this application if you have attended college since graduating from high school.
  • Scholarships Make sure to apply for scholarships along with your admission application.
  • International Use this application if you are not a citizen or permanent resident of the United States of America.
  • Returning Student If you previously enrolled at any WSU campus, and have been away for more than one semester, use this application to reapply for admission.
  • Non-Degree Use this application if you don’t intend to complete a degree at WSU and will be taking courses for personal enrichment, transfer to another college, or a teaching endorsement.
  • Post-Degree Use the post-bachelor’s application if you’ve already earned a bachelor’s degree and want to add an additional degree or certificate.
  • Online Use this application if you want to earn a WSU degree online.  See the list of degrees offered online.
