For A Smooth Financial Aid Process: Students Should Check Email Often

Over the next few months, please remind your students to check email often. Email is the primary method of contact for WSU families about the financial aid process.

As always, Student Financial Services staff is available for students and parents. If any of your students have questions or need financial aid guidance, please have them contact SFS at or 509-335-9711. The SFS website  and social media pages on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter are great resources for the latest financial aid information, quick tips, and scholarship opportunities.

WSU Transfer Days Bring the Answers

WSU hosted two Transfer Days this spring, one at Spokane Falls Community College and one at Bellevue College. These events brought WSU admission counselors, academic representatives, and transfer credit experts to the colleges so all of students’ questions could be answered in one place.

Many students took advantage of the individual pre-advising appointments and transfer credit reports that outline how their classes will transfer to WSU. They could also get information about how to certify into specific majors and about the scholarships they may be eligible for, such as the Crimson Transfer Award, valued at $2,000 per year!
