Increasing Scholarship Eligibility for Qualifying Students

WSU Student Financial Services (SFS) is excited to announce a revision to our most popular scholarships for students who apply by January 31, 2015.  These changes will take affect next week.  First, we are extending the University Achievement Award (UAA) to more students by adjusting the GPA and SAT/ACT requirements Washington residents must meet.  More students are now eligible to receive the UAA valued at $4,000 ($2,000 per year for two years). It’s time to Register for Orientation!

If your son or daughter has already accepted their offer of admission, please register for Alive! Orientation, or Transfer Registration Days (TRD), WSU’s mandatory orientation for incoming students. At Alive! and TRD, your son or daughter will meet with his or her academic advisor, register for fall classes, experience the WSU campus, discover involvement opportunities, and make friendships that can last a lifetime. Financial Aid Delivery

How does my student receive financial aid?

All financial aid funds are first applied to pay student tuition and mandatory fees for the current term. If applicable, charges for housing and dining will be paid next.  Once these charges are paid in full, any financial aid in excess of these costs will be refunded to the student to use for other educational expenses, such as books, etc. Students may authorize WSU to deposit their refund into their bank account by signing up for direct deposit through zzusis, otherwise refunds are sent via paper check to the student’s preferred mailing address listed on their » More …
