WSU University Achievement Award

$2,000 per year (two years)

The University Achievement Award is automatically awarded and qualified students are notified shortly after their offer of admission to WSU.

Eligibility

Awarded to students based on a minimum 3.6 unweighted high school grade point average (GPA).

To receive the award, you must also:

  • Complete your admission application and submit transcripts before March 31, 2023
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. (for Washington undocumented students and other select applicants)
  • Be a resident of the state of Washington
  • Enroll at the Pullman campus as a first-year student in 2023

This scholarship cannot be combined with the Distinguished University Achievement Award or a National Merit Scholarship. 

To qualify, your application for admissions and admission packet must be complete with all required transcripts submitted prior to March 31, 2023. Students who have improved their cumulative GPA since being admitted to WSU, may resubmit the most up-to-date transcript (first-semester, senior year) to be re-considered for academic awards (UAA, DUAA, Cougar Award, WUE). Be sure your cumulative unweighted GPA meets the award criteria before sending us your updated transcript. Transcripts must be received by WSU by March 31, 2023. All scholarship criteria is subject to change. Funding for these awards is limited and not guaranteed. Unofficial/self-reported high school GPA reported in a student’s application may be used in awarding scholarships. Students will be asked to confirm academic status by providing an official transcript.
