veteran or military-affiliated students attending WSU Pullman

We welcome all military-affiliated students, as our veterans, active duty, guard/reserve, and military family members are an integral part of the Cougar community. Thank you for your service, dedication, and sacrifice. WSU offers academic and financial support for military members and their families serving in the state of Washington and around the world. Whether you’re active duty, national guard, reserve, a veteran, or interested in entering the military while pursuing your education, WSU has programs to meet your needs.

WSU is proud and honored to have around 1,500 students utilizing their post 9/11 G.I. Bill benefits to attend classes across the WSU system. On the Pullman campus alone, there are more than 1,100 students enrolled who are veterans or military affiliated.

Active duty while attending WSU

If you’re currently on active duty or plan to enter the military while pursuing your education, we can help. Active-duty members of the military who are stationed in Washington can attend WSU at in-state tuition rates.
