Application fees:
Admission application—first-year, international, and transfer students: $70
Admission application—returning WSU students and non-degree seeking students: $35
General Scholarship Application: No fee

Application fees are non-refundable. Qualified students may apply for a fee waiver during the application process.

Want to switch campuses? If you’ve already applied and you’ve changed your mind about where you would like to attend, you can request a change of campus. Admission or enrollment at one WSU campus does not guarantee admission or enrollment eligibility at another WSU campus.

First-year students:
Add WSU to your Common App

Note: There may be deceptive websites presenting themselves as WSU. Application for admission is managed through futurecoug.wsu.edu/apply or through Common App. When accessing WSU web pages, look for the domain extension .edu to be sure you are in the right place.

First-Year

You’re considered a first-year student if you’re applying to WSU for the academic year immediately after graduating from high school (even if you’re in Running Start) or you haven’t attended college since high school graduation.

Transfer

You’re considered a transfer student if you attended a college or university after your high school graduation, but not including the summer immediately following your graduation.

You’re considered a returning student if you previously attended any WSU campus as an undergraduate degree-seeking student and have been away from WSU for two or more semesters.

Non-Degree

You’re considered a non-degree student if you want to take a few courses for personal enlightenment or a certificate and don’t intend to join a degree program.

Post Bachelor’s

You’re considered a Post-Baccalaureate student if you previously earned a bachelor’s degree from either Washington State University or another school and want to add an additional Undergraduate degree
