Transferring credits

AP credit

Credit is awarded for Advanced Placement (AP)  examinations with a score of 3 or higher. Please see the equivalency chart below and visit the University Common Requirement (UCORE) website for more information about UCORE and WSU graduation requirements. Please see Academic Regulation 15 for more information on credit for college preparatory exams and contact the Transfer Center for additional guidance.

IB credit

WSU awards credit for qualifying scores on IB exams. For the 2019-2020 administration of IB exams, WSU will honor IB scores from any format of the exam offered and approved by International Baccalaureate and as listed on the WSU online IB chart. We will treat these exams and credits the same as we would in a normal IB administration. Please contact the Office of Admissions if you have any questions.

CLEP credit

WSU awards credit for qualifying scores on CLEP exams. See the CLEP table for exams accepted, scores needed, and credit awarded.

Cambridge credit

WSU awards credit for each Cambridge A-level and AS-level exam. For the 2019-2020 administration of Cambridge Exams, WSU will honor Cambridge scores from any format of the exam offered and approved by Cambridge International and as listed on the WSU online Cambridge chart. We will treat these exams and credits the same as we would in a normal Cambridge administration. Please contact the Office of Admissions if you have any questions. Running Start

If you have completed Running Start classes, or any other college-level coursework while in high school (and none after you graduated high school), you are considered a first-year student at WSU. You will receive applicable college credit once we receive an official college transcript. Use this transfer course search tool to see how your college credits match up with WSU equivalencies.
