The major in wine and beverage business management draws on the expertise of the University's exceptionally strong hospitality business management program. The program's overarching objective is to provide a pool of highly skilled business leaders focused on the burgeoning wine industry. Graduates of the program will be educated across a broad range of wine and beverage business practices and related functional areas, from the management of beverage services to the identification and development of demand generators.

- Admission to the business major
To join the wine and beverage business degree program, you will need admission as a business major by meeting the following prerequisites. Admission is required for enrollment in all 300- and 400-level business courses.
Complete the following courses with a GPA of 2.50 or better:
- EconS 101 and 102
- Engl 101
- Acctg 230 and 231
- B Law 210
- MgtOp 215
- Math 201 and 202
- MIS 250
Have a cumulative WSU GPA of at least 2.5
Earn at least 60 credits
On the Pullman campus, admission as a business major is competitive and course enrollments are limited. Pullman campus students are required to apply online to be considered for admission. Applicants who meet the minimum requirements above are ranked by academic performance. The top students are then admitted based on the number of spots available that semester.
On all campuses, transfer course grades will be used to calculate the admission GPA, but they are not included in the WSU cumulative GPA.
