The University's Asia Program provides students who are majoring in programs through the College of Business the opportunity to focus on one country or region (China, Japan, India, or the Middle East) and to develop a broad, systematic knowledge of Asia through interdisciplinary study. 

The certificate in East Asian studies for business majors serves three major objectives:

1. Prepare students for business careers dealing with Asia.
2. Provide academic background for those planning to pursue graduate work on Asia.
3. Train students interested in governmental and private career opportunities related to Asia.
