All Washington State University students are required to attend an orientation session before enrolling in classes. At Alive! Orientation students will receive academic advising, register for fall classes, and get better acquainted with campus services and facilities.

Encourage your students admitted to WSU to register for Transfer Alive! March 29-30, 2020 to sign up for classes before current students. Transfer Alive! is a two-day orientation and registration program designed to prepare admitted students for their transition to Washington State University. Whether they are transferring from a four-year university or a community college, Transfer Alive! will provide them with valuable information that will help them become acquainted with our campus, community, and the many resources available to them.

The student cost of $250 includes meals and all materials during the program. There are additional per-person costs ranging from $140-$195 for each parent/guardian who would like to attend the Alive! Orientation as well. If a student has high financial need, they may defer the student fee so that it comes out of their financial aid in the fall. Guest and parent costs may not be deferred. Instructions for how to defer the matriculation fee are outlined on the program costs page of the Alive! website.

There are other opportunities for transfer students to attend Alive! Orientation this summer, as well. Transfer-specific Alive! sessions this summer are June 21-22 and July 19-20, 2020. Transfer students are able to attend any other session, but transfer sessions are completely geared toward transfer students and their needs. Students who register early are more likely to get into the session they prefer. For questions, please reach out to New Student Programs at orientation@wsu.edu or by calling 509-335-4242.
