Registration is now open for Summer Advantage, June 26 – July 28, a unique program offering incoming freshmen an early start on their college career! Summer Advantage is an opportunity to adjust gradually to the new academic demands of college life through tailored programming, peer and professional support, and planned recreational activities. Students will become familiar with the WSU campus and learn the most effective techniques for academic achievement through time management, study skills, and leadership workshops. The Summer Advantage application deadline is June 1st. For more information, contact WSU PreCollege Programs at 509-335-3530 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
WSU’s Summer Session offers classes starting on May 8, June 5, and June 19. Students who attend will get a jump start on making friends, attending classes, and getting to know the WSU Pullman campus. One of the great benefits for out-of-state students attending Summer Session or Summer Advantage is that all students pay in-state tuition!
Financial Aid is often available to students who want to begin college the summer after they graduate from high school. To qualify for this aid, students must have a FAFSA on file from the year prior. According to the Department of Education, the summer term is considered the end of the current school year. Therefore, current seniors hoping to take courses during the summer of 2017 will need to fill out a 2016-2017 FAFSA. The 2016-17 FAFSA can still be submitted, it’s not too late. If your student would like to register for summer courses, please contact email@example.com.
