Many incoming freshmen enter with ttransferable credits. Despite the fact they are carrying transfer credits, WSU recognizes these students as freshmen for admissions purposes and requires them to take the freshman admission steps, including submitting SAT or ACT scores. High school students with transferrable credit should complete the freshman admission application, submit official transcripts (high school and college) and send ACT or SAT test scores.

If a student takes a standardized test more than once, he or she should send all scores to WSU to have the highest score considered for admission and scholarship purposes. In order to meet the WSU application deadline of January 31, 2017 students should take their SAT exam by December 3, 2016 and the ACT by December 10, 2016.

WSU does not take the SAT or ACT writing score into consideration for admission and scholarship awarding. Therefore, WSU only considers the critical reading and math scores on the SAT and the composite score on the ACT.
