Apply Financial Aid Award to pay all charges

When financial aid is disbursed to the student account it is automatically set to pay all mandatory charges such as tuition, fees and on-campus housing.  If a student would like to have financial aid pay for other charges, such as the sports pass, they must opt-in by following the steps outlined below.

  • Log-in to myWSU
  • Select Main Menu
  • Select Self Service
  • Select Campus Finances
  • Select View Student Permissions
  • Select Grant Permissions
  • Read Student Permission Agreement and Select Accept

Set up Direct Deposit

Setting up direct deposit is the fastest, easiest, and safest way to receive a financial aid refund. Follow the easy steps outlined below.

  • Log-in to myWSU
  • Select Main Menu
  • Select Self Service
  • Select Campus Finances
  • Select Enroll in Direct Deposit
  • Under Bank Details – enter bank name, routing number and checking account number
  • Read Enrollment Agreement and Select Accept

Third Party Access

Remember that beginning the first day of class, August 22, 2016, any party calling on behalf of a student must have been granted Third Party Access (TPA) in order for our office to share any detailed information regarding your student’s account.  Your student can grant you TPA by following the steps outlined below.

  • Log-in to myWSU
  • Select Main Menu
  • Select Self Service
  • Select Third Party Access
  • Select Third Party Access again
  • Select Share My Information
  • Follow steps as outlined

We know that from time to time, students will need to reach out to our office.  There are three convenient ways to reach us.

  • They can email financialaid@wsu.edu. All emails will receive a response within two business days.
  • They can call our office at 509-335-9711 between 8am-5pm M-F
  • They can schedule an appointment to meet with an advisor. To make an appointment with SFS, your student can visit wsu.edu click on FinAid Scheduler, log in using their WSU Network ID and password, and click on the date and time that best fits their schedule.  When the date of their appointment arrives, your student will check in at the front desk and then be directed to a counselor.
