This is a great time to be in the Cougar Marching Band (CMB) and we hope your student will consider joining us.  Any student with band or guard experience can join, and there are no auditions except for drumline.  With last year’s addition of a color guard, feature twirler, a new assistant director and trombone professor, plus brand new uniforms, the excitement surrounding the band is as high as it’s ever been.  We’re even getting brand new sousaphones this summer!

The entire Cougar Marching Band performs at every home football game and accompanies the football team to post-season bowl games such as last year’s Sun Bowl win.  CMB will even take members to the Oregon State game this fall, and students have the opportunity to march in the 2017 St. Patrick’s Parade in Ireland!   Additionally, the CMB’s pep band performers provide spirit and entertainment at other sporting events such as men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball.  Members of the band receive stipends between $250-$600, and are eligible for participation scholarships.
