Study Abroad experiences are very popular for WSU students, in fact, last year over 700 students participated, and the number is growing! Students can choose from more than 1,400 different programs including exchanges, faculty-led programs, internships, and provider programs. Freshmen typically do not study abroad, but are encouraged to explore global educational opportunities and start planning ahead. International Programs offers daily information sessions called Global Cougs 101, detailing Study Abroad programs in over 80 countries so students can decide which study abroad opportunity is right for them. Some programs cost about the same as staying on campus in Pullman and students may apply for Study Abroad scholarships. You and your student can ask questions of WSU Global Learning Ambassadors–WSU students who have participated in a wide-variety of study abroad adventures in over 30 different countries. For more information, contact WSU’s Global Learning Department.
