Now that your students have completed the FAFSA application, you may be wondering what the next steps are for the financial aid process with Washington State University. To help students navigate this process, Student Financial Services (SFS) has created a tool that compiles all of their financial information in ONE PLACE! This fantastic tool is the Coug Compass.

The Coug Compass is just that; a compass that leads students through information about the various sources of financial aid and the processes associated with them. It also will include their very important financial aid estimate for the 2016-2017 academic year (available starting mid-March). Coug Compass includes information on the following:

  • Financial Literacy and Education
  • Loan Options
  • WSU Funding and Support Resources
  • Scholarship Resources
  • Federal & State Aid Information
  • Student’s SFS To-Do List
  • SFS Customer Support Information

This tool is easy to use and will help answer any questions your students may have about their finances at WSU. If you, your students, or their families have questions about affordability and financial resources, please feel free to contact the Student Financial Services team at 509-335-9711 or
