As soon as your students have submitted their $200 advanced tuition deposit, they can apply for WSU Housing. WSU offers 17 different resident halls. The campus location, floorplans, building features and amenities vary for each hall. Please encourage your student to view our housing guide with pictures and virtual tours to see the variety that WSU has to offer. Housing and dining costs vary depending on the residence hall and the meal plan that students select. Students can compare costs with our online rate estimator.

When completing the Housing application, your students will be expected to pay a $150 housing damage deposit and a $400 advance housing payment which will be credited toward their overall housing and dining costs in the fall. Students who expect to receive at least $13,000 in financial aid can request the $400 payment to be deferred until they receive their aid in the fall. The $150 damage deposit cannot be waived or deferred and will be returned to students once they move out of their residence hall and leave it in good condition.

Housing assignments are based on the date a student completes their housing application. In other words, the earlier students complete their housing application, the better chance they have for placement in the residence hall or apartment they prefer. Encourage your student to apply for housing as soon as possible!

Students will begin to receive housing assignments in June.
