Ranene Royer is Washington State University’s admission counselor for Southwestern Washington and Western Oregon, regionally based in Battle Ground, Washington. She enjoys helping incoming freshmen and transfers with the WSU application process and is known for her willingness to help students and families walk through college admission cycle. Ranene loves traveling throughout her region sharing about the many nationally-recognized undergraduate programs that WSU Pullman offers in a spirited, traditional, college-town atmosphere.
Ranene began her admissions career working for the University of California, Davis. She transferred to UC Davis from a local community college and earned her bachelor’s degree in Rhetoric with a minor in Psychology. Ranene recruited students for UC Davis and helped hundreds of low-income and underrepresented students become college-eligible. Immediately prior to joining the WSU family, she was a counselor at a private, college preparatory high school in Sacramento, California
WSU Admission Counselors are available to attend college fairs, scholarship nights, and college information sessions. They also are prepared to do personal statement/essay workshops, admissions presentations, personal visits to high schools, and more.
