Washington State University’s Office of Admissions and Recruitment is excited to introduce our newest Admission Counselor, Noe Lopez, who is based in Central Washington.
Noe received his Bachelor’s of Science in Industrial Organization and Behavioral Psychology from Corban University. After college, Noe went to work for Amazon.com and although he started in corporate, it was Noe’s passion for higher education that led him to this position at WSU.
Growing up in lower Yakima valley, Noe came from a single parent home with very little knowledge of the college admission process. To Noe, college was only a dream, as he didn’t think he had the funds or academic requirements to pursue college. With the help of high school counselors and admission counselors, including his WSU admission counselor, he applied for several scholarships and was awarded enough financial support to cover 4 years’ worth of education.
Because of Noe’s great experience, he has decided to pursue a career in higher education. He has felt the impact an admission recruiter can have on the life of a student, and he hopes to provide that same support to others. Noe is grateful to be a part of the Cougar Family and can’t wait to show students all that WSU has to offer.
Noe can be contacted via e-mail at: firstname.lastname@example.org and phone at: 509-910-1961
