WSU Student Financial Services (SFS) is excited to announce a revision to our most popular scholarships for students who apply by January 31, 2015.  These changes will take affect next week.  First, we are extending the University Achievement Award (UAA) to more students by adjusting the GPA and SAT/ACT requirements Washington residents must meet.  More students are now eligible to receive the UAA valued at $4,000 ($2,000 per year for two years). The requirements are detailed here:

Additionally, we are increasing the value of the Cougar Academic Award (CAA), WSU’s equivalent of the WUE, for out-of-state students to $44,000 ($11,000 per year for four years)! The GPA and SAT/ACT requirements are detailed here:

Students who qualify for the new awards will be notified by SFS beginning next week. If your students are considering WSU but have not yet applied, encourage them to do so soon!  To find out if they are eligible for the new scholarships, students can visit the UAA eligibility calculator (for Washington residents) or the CAA eligibility calculator (for out-of-state students).
