WSU’s Common Reading Program has recently announced the new book for freshmen entering WSU in fall of 2014. All freshmen will be reading Garbology: Our Dirty Love Affair With Trash, by Edward Humes, a non-fiction book that focuses on the scope, source, effects and possible solutions of waste in America. Throughout a student’s freshman year, the Common Reading Program will host several events relating to issues raised in the book. In addition, professors are encouraged to share information from research in their field and how it relates to the book.
