Group Tours
Frequently Asked Questions
Who should attend a group visit?
High school age students (grades 9 through 12) and transfer student groups are welcome to arrange a group visit. High school age groups are required to provide a minimum of one chaperone for every 20 students.
Student groups younger than 9th grade should schedule a visit through the WSU summer programs.
When are group visits available?
Normal visiting hours are between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays. Certain dates may not be available due to concurrent campus events or University holidays. Group visits are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
How soon can we come to campus?
In order to ensure we have resources in place for your students, requests for a group visit must be made at least three weeks prior to the date you wish to visit campus.
How many students may I bring?
We can accommodate up to a total of 100 group visitors each day. If your group is larger than this, please contact the Office of Visitation at 509-335-7345 for additional information and options.
How much will it cost?
There is no fee for a campus tour or the admissions/financial aid presentations. Depending on your requests, you may incur other costs for other portions of your visit. For example, if you wish to eat lunch in one of our dining centers, meal vouchers are available for $5.50 per person or your group may purchase food individually at one of several dining locations in the CUB.
What should we wear?
Dress is casual. Please wear comfortable shoes as you can expect to do a lot of walking. The weather in Pullman can change quickly; we recommend dressing in layers and bringing an umbrella, particularly in the spring and fall.
Whom should I contact for special assistance?
If any member of your group requires disability accommodation, please contact your group visit coordinator at 509-335-7345 at least two weeks prior to your visit.
