Destination WSU

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can attend this event?

All students that have been accepted for the Fall 2012 semester may attend Destination WSU. However, the event is designed for those who are still making up their minds about enrolling at the Pullman campus.

If you have already decided to attend WSU, your next steps are to pay your deposit and sign up for an Alive! orientation and registration session.

Who may accompany me to Destination WSU?

Parents, guardians, or siblings who are interested in attending Washington State University are welcome to attend Destination WSU. Three guest spots are included in the online registration. If you will be bringing additional guests, please contact Visitation Programs at 509-335-4980 so that we can plan accordingly.

How do I make travel and lodging arrangements?

We have reserved a block of rooms at a few local hotels, however, you are responsible for arranging your own transportation and lodging. Be sure to ask for the Destination WSU discounted rate; reservations must be made at least three weeks in advance to be eligible for this discount.

Is there any charge for attending?

Attendance at Destination WSU is free for each registered student and their guests.

What should I wear?

Dress is casual. Please wear comfortable shoes for your visit to our campus, as you can expect to do a lot of walking. Spring weather in the Pullman area can be chilly; rain or snow is a possibility. Consider dressing in layers and packing an umbrella for your trip.

Should I attend if I'm a transfer student?

Transfer students are welcome to attend any of the Destination WSU events if they are undecided about attending WSU. However, if you have already confirmed your enrollment at WSU, we recommend that you attend Transfer Registration Days in March for orientation and registration.

Whom do I contact for special assistance?

If you are a person with disabilities requiring assistance, please contact Visitation Programs at 509-335-4980 fourteen days prior to the event you will be attending to make arrangements.

What if I can't attend?

If you cannot attend any of the Destination WSU events, we encourage you to come to campus for an individual visit on a day that fits your schedule.
