Leadership & Service

Lead, serve, and help right where you live

Living on campus means that leadership and service opportunities are literally right outside your door.

Leadership

Cougar Leadership Program - Learn the foundations of leadership. Influence and engage the community around you. The Cougar Leadership Program is open to all WSU students.

Service

A center of service

The Center for Civic Engagement helps you find opportunities to volunteer and also helps you build a service portfolio to enhance your resume when you graduate.

Service learning is built into some WSU courses, melding course credit with service opportunities. Volunteer service can sometimes qualify for internship credit, too.

You can even get scholarships for your service work -- check out the Students In Service program.

Students from fraternities and sororities help shape the community, too.
