You're at the center of everything

There's plenty to do around here, even if it's not bright-lights/big-city. Whatever's going on in Pullman, you're close by. And if it's happening at WSU, you're right in the middle of it. You can be bored...if you want to...but you're going to have to try hard.

Here's a quick look at what to hit when you're here:

Entertainment

Arts and culture
Music, theater, literary readings, and visual arts exhibits come to Pullman -- as do classic entertainers like Elton John, ZZ Top, and Howie Mandel. Student-run events like Springfest bring the crunk to campus (and indie, and acoustic, and soul...and local music...and...).

Up All Night
Basically, this is just what the name says: an excuse to stay up all night at the CUB. (We'd say it's good clean fun--which it is--but then it might not sound fun at all.)

The Student Entertainment Board
This group, run by students, funds and organizes events like Springfest and the music stage at Pullman's 4th of July celebration.

Sports and recreation

It can't always be about academics. Get out and play!

University recreation

  • One of the nation's largest intramural sports programs

  • An award-winning student recreation center

  • An outdoor rec center that rents outdoor sports equipment and leads outdoor adventures

Cougar athletics

Pac-10 sports and 17 NCAA programs playing in front of the best student section in the conference.

Student organizations

There are more than 300 registered student organizations at WSU.

Look up an organization.
Let's see...in the C's alone we have 19 active organizations: Cable 8 Productions, Campus Christian Fellowship, Chinese Students & Scholars Association, Choral Company, Capoeira (ever seen The Bourne Identity? Yeah)...

And if what you want isn't already here, we can help you start your own student group or activity.

The Center for Student Involvement and Leadership Development

Long name, one mission: to help you put "life" in student life.
