3.  Meet with your WSU admission counselor

Find out when he or she will be visiting your area for an information session and plan to attend. Ask questions! Your regional admission counselor is one of your best sources of information on preparing for college applying to WSU. Contact your WSU enrollment counselor.

4.  Apply early

Apply online by the priority application date (paper applications available on request). The priority date for fall semester is January 31.

The standard application fee is $50. Students facing difficult financial circumstances in which the application fee would be a hardship can request a fee waiver online or send in this copy with their paper application.

5.  Write your personal statement

Submit it with your application. The statement isn't required, but a good personal statement may improve your admission chances. You can write and submit your statement online.

6.  Provide transcripts and test scores.

Have your high school send your official transcripts and have the testing agency send your SAT or ACT scores directly to the WSU Office of Admissions.

The Washington State University school code for the SAT is 4705.

To have your FAFSA automatically sent to WSU, enter Washington State University's Federal School Code (003800) in the form.

9.  Continue to get top grades
